USCG Margaret Norvell

Project Scope:
This project focused on preserving and restoring the weatherdeck non-skid surfaces on the 01 deck, of the USCG Margaret Norvell, following detailed specifications. Non-skid surfaces are essential for ensuring safety and functionality in high-traffic areas exposed to harsh environmental conditions.

Services Performed:

  1. Surface Preparation:

    • Comprehensive abrasive blasting was conducted to achieve a high standard of surface cleanliness and profile, ensuring proper adhesion for the coatings.

    • Detailed inspections were performed throughout the process to verify surface readiness for coating application.

  2. Coating Application:

    • A protective primer was applied to create a strong, durable base layer, resistant to corrosion and wear.

    • A custom non-skid coating system was installed, tailored to meet the specified safety and durability requirements.

    • The system was sealed with a protective topcoat designed to enhance longevity and environmental resistance.
